In focus

A watchful neighbour

The Brown Falcon is an adaptable bird of open country, often first noticed watching from a fence post or roadside tree. In flight, its broad wings and variable brown plumage reveal a different view of this familiar hunter. Dark marks below the eyes help identify a species found across much of Australia.
